Introduction

Hi, I’m Chris Simpson and I’m passionate about maths. I hold Qualified Teacher Status, a Maths degree and a PGCE. I am a committed and experienced maths tutor, with a proven track record of improving students’ exam performance. I am based in Bury St Edmunds.

A level maths

I have several years experience in tutoring A level maths, across various different exam boards. I pay particular attention to exam technique and calculator skills.

GCSE

I teach both Foundation and Higher Maths GCSE, my former students have all experienced significant improvements in their exam performance following tuition. I am also happy to cover the Further Maths GCSE if required.

iGCSE

I have experience of preparing students for the iGCSE exam, so I am conscious of the difference between syllabuses.

Following careers in the military and policing I undertook Initial Teacher Training. I now have 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience.

I hold a Masters Degree in Information Technology Security; a Post Graduate Certificate in Education; an Honours Degree in Maths and Computing. At A level I achieved 4 A grade passes and passed the Imperial College Scholarship exam. I also hold Qualified Teacher Status.

I hold enhanced DBS, I have in date safeguarding training and have business insurance.
